Black Oak Brewery announces a new Nutcracker Porter which is a robust porter spiced with cinnamon. They claim it is balanced roasty malt with subtle hops and delivers flavors of figgy pudding. This limited edition beer has spent the last two months aging in a single malt whiskey barrel straight from the Islay region of Scotland. The result is a spicy, winter warmer with notes of peat smoke. It is bottled in 650ml single size serving bottles and costs $9.95. It is the first of Black Oak’s beer to debut in their newly designed packaging and format. Available mid January 2013 for a limited time. For more information go to their website
